Not a religious authority
Muslim Calendar is an independent, privately built reference tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any mosque, Islamic organization, scholar, or government body. Nothing on this site should be treated as a religious ruling (fatwa).
Hijri dates are estimates
Dates shown here come from the tabular Islamic calendar, a fixed mathematical calculation. This is different from moon sighting (ru'yah), which many communities use to confirm the start of a new month, particularly for Ramadan and Eid. As a result, the date on this site can be a day off from what your local mosque announces. When in doubt, always follow your local moon-sighting authority or mosque for religious observance.
Prayer times are calculated, not confirmed
Prayer times are generated using standard astronomical formulas for your location. Calculation conventions vary slightly by school of thought and region. If your local mosque or Islamic center publishes its own prayer schedule, treat that as the primary reference for congregational prayer.
Event dates
Countdown dates for Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and other events are projected using the same tabular calculation and are approximate until confirmed locally.
No liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but Muslim Calendar and its operators accept no responsibility for missed prayers, fasting, or observances resulting from reliance on dates or times shown here.
