About Muslim Calendar
Muslim Calendar gives you today's Hijri date, live prayer times for your location, and a countdown to upcoming Islamic events — Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Muharram, and more — in one clean page.
How the dates are calculated
Hijri dates on this site are calculated using the tabular (civil) Islamic calendar, a fixed mathematical method rather than direct moon sighting. This makes the calendar predictable and available for both past and future dates, but it means the date shown here can differ by a day from announcements made by local moon-sighting committees, especially around Ramadan and Eid. For religious observance, always follow the ruling of your local mosque or Islamic authority.
Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated based on your device's location using standard astronomical methods. If you don't share your location, times default to Mecca. Calculation methods can vary slightly between schools of thought and regions — if your local mosque publishes different times, follow those.
Part of the Daily Calendar network
Muslim Calendar is one of a small family of calendar sites built with the same care for accuracy and simplicity, each focused on a different community's needs.
